Well, here's a quick update.
After the last one, my remaining days in Pune were mostly spent packing, crying, and spending time with the boys. I miss seeing them almost every day. I mean, we're still constantly in touch, but gaming is pretty much the only thing we can do together until I visit them next month.
This month has already been crazy. I've been in Kanpur for about two weeks now, getting involved at work, and somehow I've already accumulated 38 tasks across all sorts of domains. But it's good. I actually get to put my mental agility to use for once, lol.
I'm leaving for RIFF in three days, and I can already tell my content from that trip is going to be insufferable.
Speaking of content, the creative pause is actually starting to get to me. I have so many things I want to make, things I want to learn, and skills I want to develop. Especially editing. I really want to get better at it, but finding the time and energy has been a challenge. How I wish there were an easier way to edit things. :/
The new job comes with a pretty ridiculous pay upgrade and practically no living expenses, so that's been lovely. Perks of working at the family business, I suppose.
I've settled into a routine of work, gym, and badminton. Badminton every morning has been particularly nice, although I already want a new racquet. The one I have isn't quite to my liking. I also need a new fitness tracker, because my watch is basically unusable at this point.
I'm also realising I need to get out more. Ideally, that involves finding a friend or two here who I can actually hang out with. As much as I enjoy my routine, I'd like my social life to exist somewhere outside the gym and my computer.
Oh, and apparently I have too many clothes and not enough wardrobe space.
Life's good. Busy, comfortable, and perhaps a little too indoors for my liking.
Anyway, I should probably get back to one of those 38 tasks.
